Home Rehabbers Loan Fund
With more than 5,000 vacant homes and lots in Kansas City, there is an urgent demand for housing rehab funding to improve abandoned and blighted residential properties in the urban core. However, there has been a lack of available capital for home rehabbing projects to help cover the prohibitive costs of contractors, plumbers, electricians and other trades. The Kansas City Home Rehabbers Loan Fund was established to address this need and support home rehabbers who are working to address Kansas City’s blighted housing issues in our neighborhoods.
The Kansas City Home Rehabbers Loan Fund was created by the Kansas City Social Investment Pool—a collaboration between AltCap, a Community Development Financial Institution; Legal Aid of Western Missouri; and pro bono support from Stinson Leonard Street.
More information on the loan fund will be made available soon.
